New Interview at Simply Jade! :)
So, I fell in love with this sequin vest when I found it at Goodwill. I decided to layer it over this white shirt and pair it with my Urban Outfitters jeans and platform oxfords because I really loved the black and white menswear effect!
I have two pairs of these creepers-another in black with a green stripe. I don't wear the black ones since I have two pairs, so I am thinking about selling them, so email me or message me on my tumblr if you're interested!
Also, I just did an interview for Simply Jade (http://lookbook.nu/user/1296945-Jade-S) on her blog here: http://simplyjustjade.blogspot.co.nz/2012/04/lookbooker-of-day.html
Thanks so much for interviewing me, Jade! Everyone go check her out :)

DIY Handmade Lightening Bolt Dress!
I started making this dress a long time ago, and finally finished it last week. I originally had the only adornments be the gold hardwear zippers in the back and on the sleeves, but I was inspired by the lightening bolt printed punk-ish fabric that I have, and decided to add the lightening bolts to the front of the dress. The lightening bolts are made from vinyl fabric, which I find is a cheap alternative when you want some to look similar to leather.
I hope you all like it! I am super busy now-sewing lots of things for my online store! :)

DIY Handmade Floral Pantsuit!
I loved this floral fabric and I just had to make something fun with it for spring. I've been wanting to try and make pants for a while, so I decided to give it a go. I drafted my own patterns on paper first and then traced them on the fabric. This was my first time drafting patterns on paper instead of on the form, so I was nervous, but everything ended up fitting perfectly!
Inspired by the vintage feel of the fabric, I wanted to make the pants high-waisted. I also wanted to keep it a bit modern though, so I added the lace panel in the back. At first, I wanted the entire back to be lace, but I ended up wanting to fit it more tightly, so I just tucked it in the back, making the lace panel into a V, which I think matches quite nicely with the pointed edges of the front.
I hope you all like it as much as I do! :) <3

DIY Red Velvet Heels!
So, I am definitely not a big fan of fake wood. I can deal with it when it actually looks pretty realistic, but when its just plain brown plastic, I can't. I got these shoes from gojane.com and love them, but they have an ugly fake wood heel! (and they're also very loud haha but that I can deal with..) I decided to get some red velvet fabric and fix the heels. I cut the fabric to fit the shape on the heel and then glued it on with a veryyy light layer of cement glue so that the glue would not leak through and leave spots on the fabric. They turned out very well, I think! What do you all think? :)

DIY Handmade Peplum Skirt!
This skirt is one of my favorite creations! I really love peplum, and I though this fabric was so pretty. I hope you all like it. :) Also, I am going to be making a bunch of clothes to sell online this week, so stay tuned for my new online shop! :)
As for college news, I think I've narrowed it down to FIT or Parsons, but I'm stuck between the two. Any thoughts?
And I got a twitter and an instagram! :) I'm following back on both since I'm new, too. My twitter name is @sewingstilettos, and my instagram name is @sewinginstilettos. :)
