Colleges!
So, I thought I'd just update you all on my college status. I've currently been accepted to Parsons, accepted early at FIT, and accepted into Pratt! I'm so happy because I've officially been accepted everywhere that I applied. I'm still waiting on the rest of the financial information so that I can decide where I'm going, but I already got a $19,000 a year merit scholarship to Pratt. Hopefully the rest of the financial information will come soon and with really good news too! :)
Also, I recently found this polka dot H&M bomber jacket at Goodwill for 3$ and I'm in love with it! Such a great thrift find. I'll try and upload some more of my other thrift finds too, tomorrow! :)

The Spike Headband!
I found this spike headband on ebay for around $5, but this would also be such a fun and easy DIY. You could just attach some spikes to a headband and voila! :) Anyway, I straightened my hair when I wore this so that the spikes would pop more, and I love how the whole look turned out. What do you all think about the spike headband? Many people told me that I looked like the statue of liberty or like I was wearing a crown haha...

DIY Animal Collar Tips!
So, while flipping through last month's Seventeen magazine, I happened to come across this cute little DIY idea of using earrings as collar tips! You can use whatever earrings you want and just poke them through your collar to add a little eccentricity to your top. If you want to use clip on earrings (which I did for these ram ones), just safety pin these in the back so that they won't come off. I went on ebay to get a bunch of earrings, and ended up getting a pair of skulls, snakes, rams, cows, giraffes, and bunnies. As you can tell, I love the little animals-they are just way too cute! What do you all think of this DIY collar tip idea? :)

DIY Handmade Suede Lattice Skirt!
So, I made another suede piece! I go through fabric phases where I'll be obsesseddd with one type of fabric...knits then corduroy then chiffon then suede, etc. I actually just went through a velvet phase and bought a ton of crushed velvet in teal, maroon, and black, so definitely expect a bunch of velvet pieces soon..even though it's almost spring now. Oh well, I will find a way to transfer velvet to spring! :)
Anyway, so this is the skirt I made from some of the suede fabric I had. I was inspired by the lattice woodwork on the gazebo near my house. I also had originally designed a top to go with it, but in the end I scrapped the top in order to make the skirt super high-waisted and let it stand out on its own. I hope you all like this skirt! Your comments always make my day! :)

DIY Handmade Faux Fur Coat!
So, I had been lusting after a faux fur coat for such a long time, but they were all so expensive...so, I thought I'd make my own! It only took a couple hours to sew and line, and I think it turned out great! I'm definitely going to have to make another one in white. Anyway, I hope you all like it! :)
